Faulkner & Foy win Wales Rally GB National Rally
Mike Faulkner and Peter Foy returned to a champagne podium reception greeted by thousands of spectators in Llandudno as winners of the 2014 Wales Rally GB National Rally. The BSW Timber / Supply UK supported crew led home a Scottish Championship podium lock out, winning the three day event by over 30 seconds.
The National event attracted an entry of almost a 100 crews covering 3 days and supporting the final round of the World Rally Championship (WRC).
“We thoroughly enjoyed the event from start to finish, the stages were fantastic and a huge challenge with so much grip variation. Smooth fast flowing stages, tight and technical, rough and muddy but what was consistent was the huge amount of spectators cheering us on. The atmosphere has been unbelievable from start to finish. The event had a pre event buzz even the service area at Deeside was electric, fantastic atmosphere"

Institute of Water accredits Water Networks Training course
A Supply UK training course designed to help reduce surge effect in water networks has received a Certificate of Accreditation from the Institute of Water
- the first course ever to be accredited by the Institute.
Recent research shows that human error in how hydrants, valves and pumps are operated is a major cause of surge effects in water supply networks. Surge is a major cause of leaks and bursts in pipe infrastructure. Much of this harm can be avoided by modifying the way the network is operated - achieved by ensuring operators are thoroughly trained.

"Calmer Networks Training is a win-win for utilities and their customers – reducing leakage, improving water quality, preserving pipework and cutting costs. The benefit is on-going too, with best practice becoming embedded in those utilities that invest in routine training of standpipe operations staff.”

Betaguard from Supply UK
The BetaGuard™ simplifies tower erection by eliminating the need for both horizontal and diagonal braces, reducing the main components to a total of three.
Structural safety is also improved with the bracing integrated into the BetaGuard™ frame. Utilisation and asset management is achieved with ease as individual single bracing members more susceptible to loss, damage and theft are replaced.
Other benefits of the BetaGuard™ include its ability to act as a bridging component to bridge towers, removing the need for bridging lattice beams. Tower erection without trip hazards at base level and a walk in/through facility with high clearance is automatically achieved.
Through creative design the BetaGuard™ provides Affordable Innovation, Achievable Safety and Astounding Simplicity.
